Katie Flannery is a current D1 softball player and student at the University of Oregon, pursuing a B.S. in Psychology. She met Paige as a freshman in college, and the two became best friends, navigating the softball season together, quickly realizing their bond carried over off the field. When Paige first shared what she was going through, Katie stood by her through surgery and supported her recovery during radiation. Having watched her own mother battle breast cancer growing up, Katie felt a personal pull to support Paige and her family in every way she could. Katie grew up in Birmingham, Alabama, with an older sister, and enjoys playing pickleball in her free time.
